Last but not least of the trio of Lenovo tablets launched yesterday is the Lenovo IdeaPad P1 tablet. We’ve known this simply as the “Lenovo IdeaPad Slate” since it showed up at CES at the start of the year. It’s basically an Intel powered, Windows 7 version of the IdeaPad K1 with just a few minor tweaks to the design, like no rear facing camera and being offered in different colors – orange and gray. The processor is not mentioned but it is 1.5GHz, and prior to going official it was Oak Trail, so an Atom Z670 processor is likely to fit the bill. Last of all, it’s being touted with a pressure sensitive capacitive stylus.
The specs – the same 10.1″ 1280 x 800 display, up to 2GB of RAM and either a 32GB or 64GB SSD for storage, b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, optional 3G, a front-facing 0.3MP webcam, mono speaker, a 6 hour battery and Windows 7 Starter to Professional. Ports include a USB 2.0 port, SIM card slot, microSD card reader, and docking port. It weighs 810g / 1.79 pounds and is 14.5mm thick.
This tablet is the farthest out from launch with no word on pricing but it’s still expected to launch within Q4 towards the end of the year.
